KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A 21-year-old woman is out of the hospital after a shooting in Kalamazoo left her and two others, including a 14-year-old boy, wounded early Sunday morning.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said officers responded Trimble Avenue near Main Street after a complaint of shots fired around 2:30 a.m.

Hours later, officers were still on scene collecting evidence. Yellow markers dotted the location as a mobile crime lab parked along the road. Investigators examined what was left of what police described as the location of a “large party.”
“I woke up basically thinking it was fireworks,” said Seth Jackson. He and his sister had fallen asleep in the living room when the shots first rang out.
“I heard a first round of gunshots, then a second round of gunshots. And then I kind of got out of my sleep a little bit and I’m sitting there, listening,” he said. “I peeked out the window and I am seeing like scattering and everyone screaming. And that’s when I nudged my sister and I’m like ‘Hey, I think there’s a shooting outside, I think they are shooting outside.’”…
