Field of Flight enters second day with air show, campers and holiday crowds

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The Fourth of July holiday weekend is officially underway, and so is the second day of the annual Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival, bringing thousands of visitors to Battle Creek for five days of aviation, entertainment and camping.

Thursday’s lineup featured the civilian air show beginning at 2 p.m., followed by the Oaklawn Hospital Flippenout Trampoline Show at 6:30 p.m.

Festivalgoers also enjoyed carnival rides, food vendors and evening entertainment, with a drone show scheduled to close out the night…
