AUGUSTA, Mich. — An armed man barricaded inside a home with other people in Augusta reportedly shot at law enforcement Friday night, according to the Augusta Police Department.
A portion of East Augusta Drive near North 46th Street as well as Stoney Creek Drive is currently blocked off while the department gets assistance from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, the Battle Creek Police Department, Michigan State Police, and the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office. The location is near the Kalamazoo and Calhoun County border.

Police told News Channel 3 that drones are being used and a hostage negotiator has been called in to help. The incident was reported shortly after 7:30 p.m.
