‘I shot my girl’: Oshtemo Township man charged in girlfriend’s death

OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man is facing murder charges after police say he shot and killed his girlfriend while she was trying to move out of their Oshtemo Township home Sunday.

Ernesto Cuascut-Santini, 32, is accused of shooting and killing his estranged girlfriend Marissa Mion more than eight times at a mobile home while their children were inside.

Cuascut-Santini was arraigned Tuesday on open murder and weapons charges. He is being held without bail.

Officers who responded to the scene wrote in a report that Cuascut-Santini had blood splatter on his face and was “visibly upset,” shouting, “she’s shot… I shot my girl.”…
