KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Construction began last week on the Kalamazoo Avenue infrastructure project, marking the next phase of the City’s Streets for All initiative and a significant investment in downtown infrastructure.
City officials say the project will rebuild Kalamazoo Avenue from the ground up, replacing aging water, sewer, and storm water infrastructure while burying overhead electrical utilities and upgrading sidewalks, lighting, landscaping, traffic signals, and other public amenities.
