Ribbon cut at new preschool and childcare center in Battle Creek, opens in October

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Officials in Battle Creek hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon celebrating the new Garden of Dreams Community Preschool and Childcare center.

Formerly the Valentine Center, the renovated space is meant to expand access to childcare — something that officials said is a critical need for area families.

Garden of Dreams is expected to open its doors on Irving Park Drive in October and will serve about 80 children between the ages of six weeks to four years, according to officials.
