People across several Southwest Michigan communities are being asked to volunteer with hospice patients and their families by providing companionship and caregiver relief, according to a community announcement.
Centrica Care Navigators, a nonprofit hospice care provider, is seeking volunteers in Allegan, Delton, Plainwell, Otsego, Cassopolis, Niles, Three Rivers, Parchment and Richland. The organization said in the announcement that volunteers can help patients facing serious illness by offering social interaction and giving family caregivers time to step away for personal needs.
