Developer aims to convert 22 acres of Portage farmland into condos

PORTAGE, MI — A developer wants to turn 21.8 acres of farmland into condos in Portage.

The Portage City Commission approved a preliminary concept plan for Firestone Site Condominiums planned at 4221 Zylman Avenue at a July 21 meeting. The land is one of the few remaining active farms in the city, according to City Council documents.
