When Michigan’s one-buck rule takes effect, hunters in certain counties will also be able to earn the right to harvest a second buck.
On Wednesday, the Michigan Natural Resources Commission unanimously approved a pilot program that will let hunters purchase a bonus deer tag that can be used on an antlered deer in five Lower Peninsula counties if they harvest an antlerless deer from the same area.
