BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Improvements and repairs to Battle Creek’s water system has prompted a boil water advisory.
The advisory is in effect within the city of Battle Creek in the following locations:
- Main St. from Cliff St. to Massachusetts Ave.
- Newark Ave. from Main St. to Willow St.
Everyone in the affected area should boil their water for two minutes before consuming it. It’s safe to bathe in the water without boiling it.
The advisory was issued as system pressure reduced during repairs, which can allow bacteria to enter the system. The boil water advisory is precautionary; no bacteria had been found in the system as of Aug. 20…
