KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — The discovery of a stolen vehicle in Kalamazoo led to a chase, crash and the eventual arrest of two men, police say.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers patrolling near Douglas Avenue late Thursday morning spotted a stolen vehicle and attempted to make a stop, the department said in a release. The car’s two occupants then took off, leading officers on a chase outside Kalamazoo city limits.
The car later drove back into the city, eventually crashing head-on into a KDPS patrol car on Oak Street. The pair — a 20-year-old and 23-year-old — then took off on foot, KDPS said. They were found after a search and brought to a hospital for evaluation before being taken to the Kalamazoo County Jail. They are being held on outstanding warrants and pending charges…
