BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater traveled to Battle Creek’s Cedar Creek Golf Course on Monday to play in the Lakeview Invitational and finished fourth out of eleven teams. Portage Central won the event with a 323, with Harper Creek at 349. Gull Lake had a 355, and Coldwater shot 357.
Coldwater was led by Aubrey Eberts, who shot an even-par round of 72 to finish in second place overall. Portage Central’s Olivia Griswold shot a remarkable 9 under par 63 to set a new course record at Cedar Creek. Coldwater’s Alivia Arnold had an 88, Payton Longstreet carded a 94, Harper Anglin shot a 103, and Rory Simpson rounded out Coldwater’s scoring with a 104.
The Cardinals will travel to Arbor Hills Golf Club Tuesday afternoon, as Parma Western hosts the first Interstate 8 jamboree of the season.
