BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A Battle Creek home was determined to be a total loss after a fire early Monday morning, firefighters said.
Just after 2:30 a.m., flames sparked at a home on N Hinman Avenue near E Willard Avenue in Battle Creek.

Responding crews with the Battle Creek Fire Department found a two-story home they said was “fully involved” with flames coming from the roof. No one was inside at the time, firefighters said.
Using specialized equipment, firefighters attacked it from the outside and were able to put it out in just over an hour. No one was hurt. BCFD said the home was declared a total loss…
