Three West Michigan counties are set to receive funding for mental health services.
Ottawa County, Van Buren County, and Western Michigan University will receive funding through the Department of Health and Human Services to strengthen mental health services and support substance abuse recovery, according to a release from the office of Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-MI).

“Connecting children, parents, and families across Southwest Michigan with mental health resources creates positive outcomes, strengthens our community, and makes Southwest Michigan an even better place to call home,” said Congressman Bill Huizenga.
Western Michigan University will receive a $599,999 grant for their Family Trauma Assessment of Children and Caregivers work.
