Local Sheriff’s Office Reports on February 9 Incidents: Burglaries, Arrests, and Investigations

The Sheriff’s office reported several incidents on February 9, 2024. A burglary occurred in Bangor Township at a secondary residence, with deer mounts and two quads reported stolen. The Sheriff’s office is requesting public assistance in this case.

The Narcotic Unit has been investigating a local individual for meth distribution. A search warrant was executed at the individual’s residence, resulting in the discovery of additional meth and an arrest. Further charges are pending.

Assisting the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, the Criminal Investigation Division and Uniform Response executed a search warrant in Bloomingdale Township. Over 30 stolen items, including valuable tools, were recovered. Two Bloomingdale residents, a 44-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, are facing multiple felony charges.

A tip about a stolen trailer from 2021 led the Criminal Investigation Unit to Cass County. The trailer and suspect were located, and the victim was informed. Charges are pending.

The Narcotic Unit apprehended two individuals involved in an incident that led to a pursuit. The suspects cooperated after arrest. A 33-year-old Lawton male was arrested for fleeing and eluding, meth possession, and parole violation. A 35-year-old Mattawan female was arrested on a drug possession warrant. A third individual was found with meth paraphernalia, leading to charges.
