Homicide investigation opened after woman found dead at north Kansas City residence

Two days after a woman was found dead in a north Kansas City residence, Kansas City police have opened a homicide investigation.

Officers with the Kansas City Police Department were called to a residence in the 3800 block of North Briarcliff Drive just before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday upon reports of a dead body, Sgt. Phillip DiMartino, a spokesperson for the department, said in a news release Thursday.
