KC man jailed in critical DWI crash

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man remains jailed on a $50,000 bond after a Sunday crash left a motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries.

Kody Nickolas Flores, 27, is charged in Platte County with driving while intoxicated causing serious physical injury.

According to a probable cause statement, Flores’ Toyota sports car failed to yield to a motorcyclist with a green light as both turned west onto Northwest Old Tiffany Springs Road. Flores claimed he did not see the rider, but a passenger said they drank wine at dinner before driving…
