KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A community meeting regarding the Royals stadium at Crown Center ended abruptly after people said they want to vote on the status of the stadium.
The meeting took place Monday night in the Regnier Theatre in Union Station. For the first hour of the meeting, Royals and Crown Center officials discussed plans for the re-zoning, parking arrangements and flow of traffic to and from the stadium that will be located on the southern region of Crown Center.

Residents like Thomas Moran, who lives in the San Francisco Towers near Crown Center, said this project would be beneficial to the community, but with what he calls a lack of transparency, it’s hard to get behind.
“Parking is essential and so is chilled water,” Moran said. “We get the chilled water through the service, so there’s a lot of things that are not specified in the proposal. I know there will be other phases, but I think they can be a little clearer than what they’ve been today.”…
