Pit bull ‘viciously attacked’ toddler outside Kansas City restaurant, lawsuit says

A Kansas family is suing after their 2-year-old son was seriously injured by a pit bull outside a Northland Steak ‘n Shake, court documents allege.

A lawsuit was filed Monday in the Clay County Circuit Court on behalf of Sally and Jose Alvarado and their toddler son, called E.A. in court documents.

The family is seeking an unspecified amount in damages from four Missouri LLCs that own and operate a Steak ‘n Shake franchise at 9500 NE Barry Road, near the Liberty Triangle. The lawsuit alleges the defendants knew about the dangerous dog and should have removed her from the property…
