Trees snapped, power lines down after severe thunderstorm hits Quindaro neighborhood

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – A storm overnight left trees snapped, power lines down and property damaged in the Quindaro neighborhood.

Tony Ruff, who has lived on the block since 1972, said the storm hit around 1:30 a.m.

“All of a sudden, boom, boom, boom — you can hear the trees falling and snapping, breaking, wind blowing. I looked out the front door and you couldn’t see nothing but just white,” Ruff said…
