KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City International Airport (KCI) is planning to increase parking rates at its airport parking garage beginning later this month.
Starting Sept. 15, drivers can expect parking rates at the parking garage, surface lot, and valet services to increase to the following prices:
- Garage – Increases from $28 to $30 per day
- Garage Valet – Increases from $35 to $40 per day
- Surface Lot – Increases from $20 to $22 per day
The Kansas City Aviation Department states that the increase is to help fund things like the cost of operations, personnel wages, benefit costs and other services.
“The Aviation Department is an Enterprise Fund Department of the City of Kansas City, Mo., and is supported wholly by airport user charges. No general fund tax revenues are used for the administration, promotion, operation, or maintenance of the airports in the system,” the department shared in a statement, Tuesday…
