KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mizzou and KU rivalry has been around for generations, but one Leawood family is having to lay down some rules ahead of the “border war” game on Friday.
Kevin Ahern is a University of Kansas alumni and Caroline Ahern is a lifelong Mizzou fan, but they have built their relationship on love and healthy competition.
“It’s fun to have a rivalry,” Caroline said. “Our first real fight was over an MU/KU game, but we just laugh how much we care. We love sports, and we love having someone to cheer for. So it’s been a big part of our relationship.”…
