LEAWOOD, Kan. (KCTV) – Volunteers recovered a key clue in a Leawood cold case over the weekend.
The Leawood Police Department confirmed that skeletal remains were found inside a car pulled from the bottom of a retention pond Saturday morning. The Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the remains.
While the remains haven’t been identified yet, police confirmed the car belonged to 59-year-old Jay Jay Flekier. His family reported him missing from his Leawood home in 2016…
