Family marks one year since Anthony Myers’ killing with new outreach effort

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) – One year after Anthony Myers was killed, his family gathered at the water to remember him.

Myers loved being outdoors, and fishing was part of what he shared with his children.

“Me and my dad going fishing is probably something I remember the most,” said Makayla Wiseman, Myers’ daughter. “And we would fish at any time of night, any time in the morning, rain, shine, it did not matter… and that’s something that we all did together and is kind of a big part of our childhood.”

Michelle Baker spent 14 years by Myers’ side, raising their four children together…
