A doughnut is best served hot, fresh and decorated with icing. No one knows this more than Andrew Cameron, who’s been in the doughnut business for 17 years.
So when Cameron was given the opportunity to bring his decade-old Donutology — which was in need of a new home after serving Kansas Citians for 10 years at 1009 Westport Road, where the lease was up — to Crown Center, he made some tweaks to the store to ensure everyone had the opportunity to had their dough treat hot to order.
“Whenever we’d go to an event, somewhere like a charity function, and we’re doing hot doughnuts onsite, everyone always said, ‘These are the best doughnuts I’ve ever had,’” said Cameron, whose doughnut experience prior to owning Donutology was opening a location of Oklahoma-based Daylight Donuts. “How can we replicate that experience in our store?”…
