Two suffer serious injuries in motorcycle crash on I-70 in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (WIBW) – Two people suffered serious injuries when the motorcycle they were on crashed Thursday night along Interstate 70 in Wyandotte County, officials said.

The crash was reported at 8:22 p.m. Thursday on westbound I-70 near N. 57th Street in Kansas City, Kansas.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol’s online crash log, a 1996 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling west on I-70 at a “very high rate of speed” when it made an evasive maneuver to avoid colliding with another vehicle.

The rider lost control of the motorcycle, which was laid down on its side before sliding off the roadway into the ditch area. The bike then flipped twice before coming to rest in the ditch…
