KANSAS CITY —A Kansas City man faces charges in connection with a shooting that occurred outside a funeral earlier this year.
Anthony Medley, 39, faces one count of Unlawful Use of a Weapon and one count of Armed Criminal Action, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson. In this case, both offenses carry up to 15 years in prison each.
According to court records, Kansas City police officers were working security for a funeral in an off-duty capacity, in full uniform on Feb. 27, when they heard multiple gunshots.
