Jackson County installs free health vending machine to combat overdose deaths

LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. (KCTV) – Jackson County Public Health installed its first free health vending machine in downtown Lee’s Summit, offering naloxone and other medical supplies around the clock.

The Blue Box, located in a parking garage near city hall, provides naloxone, fentanyl test strips, condoms, first aid kits, menstrual kits and safe sex kits free of charge. Officials plan to add five more machines by the end of the summer.
