Pedestrian killed after suspected drunk driver jumps curb, hits Kansas City billboard

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A pedestrian is dead and a driver is in custody after a violent crash on Troost Ave., Kansas City police say.

The Kansas City Police Department says officers were called to the area of 77th and Troost Ave. around 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, after reports of a crash.

According to investigators, a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee was headed north on Troost from 80th St. when the driver left the roadway just before 77th Terr.
