KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Firefighters battled an early-morning house fire in Kansas City, and investigators are now working to determine what sparked the blaze.
The Kansas City Fire Department says crews were called just after 4 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, to the area of 12th and Illinois Ave. after reports of a house fire.
Firefighters note that when they arrived, they found smoke and flames pouring from a one-and-a-half-story home.
Crews say they attacked the fire from inside the structure using three hoses. When flames were discovered in the basement, a fourth hose was added to help knock down the blaze…
