Kansas City man sentenced to prison after ‘hardworking employees’ targeted in attempted robbery

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Clay County man will spend eight years in prison for targeting restaurant employees in an attempted armed robbery.

Clay County Prosecutor Zach Thompson says Isaiah D. Dotson was sentenced following a conviction tied to an incident in which Kansas City Police responded to the attempted robbery.

Thompson notes that Dotson is the second and final defendant sentenced in the case. His co-defendant received a 15-year sentence. That person has not been publicly identified.
