Kansas man faces felony charges in multi-state scheme that drained more than 8K gallons of fuel

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – An Olathe man is charged with using counterfeit cards to steal thousands of gallons of diesel fuel across four states.

Clay County Prosecutor Zachary Thompson announced that his office charged Adrian Pena-Acevedo, 38, of Olathe, on Tuesday, May 12.

Thompson said Pena-Acevedo was charged with stealing and receiving stolen property – both Class D felonies. Each charge carries up to 7 years in prison and a $10,000 fine…
