Two suspects on the run after midday shooting in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A man was shot in Kansas City after two suspects approached his vehicle and opened fire, according to police.

The Kansas City Police Department says it responded around 3:40 p.m. to the area of 39th and Benton Blvd. after reports of a shooting.

Officers note that they arrived to find a man had been sitting in a parked vehicle near the intersection when two unknown suspects walked up and fired multiple shots.

The victim was struck by gunfire and transported to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle, investigators say. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening…
