Man charged after alleged car theft from Kansas City cemetery, high speed chase reaching 100 mph

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A man has been charged with first-degree robbery and aggravated fleeing following an alleged car theft and police chase from a cemetery in Kansas City, officials say.

Clay County prosecutors charged Lester Brown Jr. with first-degree robbery and aggravated fleeing.

Prosecutors say the incident happened March 13 at Terrance Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, where a victim was visiting his daughter’s grave when he noticed a suspect in a black ski mask approach his 2021 Toyota Highlander.
