KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Wednesday, May 13, was supposed to be the start of a new chapter for Camden Keen and Hannah Rogers as they moved into their new house. But that fresh start was taken away from them when their new home tragically went up in flames the day before.
Disaster struck less than 24 hours before moving into their new house for the young Kansas City couple. Keen was at work when he received a call saying that his soon-to-be home was on fire. It was a call that not only left him speechless, but a call that he didn’t even think was real.
“It’s definitely not something that you ever think will happen to you,” Keen said. “You know you hear about it, but you know pulling up and looking inside the house and just seeing it destroyed was, you know, it just didn’t feel real.”…
