Tracking chances for thunderstorms to start the week

TODAY: Sunday is warm and mostly dry, outside of the few showers on radar before daybreak. These are likely to dry up after sunrise, leaving us partly cloudy through much of the morning. By this afternoon, we expect mostly sunny skies. High temperatures should reach the upper 80s, with enough humidity to have us feeling like 90°. For those with outdoor work to do, there will be a breeze, albeit a warm one. South winds are sustained near 15-20 mph this afternoon, with gusts up to 30 mph in some spots. The strongest breeze will be in the west.

TONIGHT: Quiet and warm weather is anticipated this evening, with 80s forecast through sunset. After midnight, storms that develop in Nebraska and Kansas earlier in the evening may drift into mid-Missouri. A low chance of strong winds is the primary threat that will accompany these storms…
