KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Shawnee church turned a parking lot into a lifeline for small business owners left scrambling after Painted Tree’s sudden collapse.
Painted Tree shut down its locations nationwide with little warning, leaving hundreds of vendors with no place to sell. Two of those stores were located in Overland Park and Kansas City, Mo.
Saturday, Cross Points Church opened its parking lot for a free pop-up market, giving more than 100 of those displaced vendors a chance to get back on their feet…
