The Federal Aviation Administration is awarding $3.5 million to the Sugar Land Regional Airport to reconstruct its runways.
The airport in Fort Bend County primarily serves corporate and general aviation and acts as a reliever for George Bush Intercontinental and Hobby airports. Its sole runway, built in 1985, is scheduled for reconstruction beginning in 2027, including a roughly month-long closure of the airport.
