May 6, 2026—Jennifer Soileau, assistant principal at McFee Elementary School, was named the principal at Walker Elementary School on May 6. Soileau replaces Kim Dameron, who will retire in June.
Soileau has 31 years of experience in education. She began her career as a first grade teacher in 1995 at Crooked River Elementary School in Georgia before moving to Garland ISD in 2000 to teach first and second grade at Lister Elementary School. Soileau then moved to CFISD in 2008 where she taught third and fifth grade ELAR at McFee. She was named the ELAR instructional specialist at McFee in 2013 and was named to her current role at McFee in 2018.
Soileau has served as a summer school principal at Horne and Hancock elementary schools and has participated in numerous professional development programs, including the CFISD Aspiring Principal Institute and N2 Learning Assistant Principal Leadership Academy…
