Tayler Gonzalez was a self-described “avid gym-goer,” skilled in sports and jump rope. He planned to marry Lauren Hill, and build a bright future together. Then came the diagnosis — fluid in his cervical spine and Chiari malformation (where part of the brain moves into the spinal canal) — along with a recommendation for immediate surgery.
A stroke during the procedure in February changed everything.
“We got engaged before this, and we put off our wedding for this,” Gonzalez told WFTV9.
