Rescued puppies were transported to Central Florida with volunteer pilots as well as ground and flight crew. The mission is part of the nonprofit’s ongoing effort to give rescued puppies a second chance and reflects founder and president Michael Young’s motto, “Leave no pup behind.” Five puppies got one step closer to finding loving homes after Puppy Rescue Flights completed a rescue flight on Sunday, September 13th, transporting the puppies to Apopka in Orange County in Central Florida.
The mission is another example of how volunteer aviation can play a role in animal rescue. Volunteer pilots donate their time and aircraft to help move puppies along the rescue route, while Puppy Rescue Flights covers aviation fuel costs.
