POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Criminals are notorious for revisiting the scene of the crime, but two accused retail thieves in Central Florida took that old adage a step too far on Monday.
Alex Marcano Osorio, 25, and Genesis Nunez Rodriguez, 30, were taken into custody after walking straight into the arms of waiting detectives at the very beauty shop they had raided hours earlier, according to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
Investigators say the Venezuelan couple had initially slipped out of an Ulta Beauty at the Posner Park shopping center in Davenport with an armload of stolen high-end fragrance bottles valued at $2,817. Store cameras caught every move, giving detectives a crystal-clear look at the culprits…
