Two people died May 17 in a two-vehicle crash in Davenport, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office reported.
According to a preliminary investigation, a Genesis G70 was heading south on U.S. 27 at about 3:50 a.m. and approached a red light near California Boulevard when it struck a Ford Explorer that was stopped at the light.
The driver of the Genesis, Demarian Saucier, 21, of Summerfield, suffered fatal injuries, PCSO said. He was not wearing a seat belt. The passenger, Angela Demetro, 30, of Davenport, was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries and later died…
