KNOXVILLE – Knoxville Habitat for Humanity celebrated a record $119,000 raised by the community for the organization’s Women Build initiative, helping create and preserve affordable homeownership opportunities in Knox County. This marks the strongest fundraising year in the event’s history and includes support connected to Women Build Brunch and the broader Women Build effort.
Held May 16 at The Mill & Mine, the event brought together nearly 180 attendees, along with table hosts, sponsors and community supporters, for a celebration of local impact and shared purpose. Reflecting the theme “Together, Women Build,” the gathering highlighted what becomes possible when women come together to build stronger foundations for Knox County families.
“Women Build Brunch was a powerful reminder of what happens when people show up together,” said Anna Engelstad, Chief Executive Officer, Knoxville Habitat for Humanity. “Because of this community’s support, more families in Knox County can build stability through affordable homeownership. Together, we build stronger communities, and that work starts with a home.”…
