KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will consider tuition increases at three campuses and mandatory fee increases at four campuses during its annual meeting June 30.
Undergraduate students at UT Knoxville would not see a tuition increase, but mandatory fees could rise by $148. UT said the proposed increase for Knoxville students is needed to support a 20% growth in the number of undergraduate students over the past five years.
In Chattanooga, students could see a $192 increase in tuition and a $130 increase in mandatory fees. Most of the increase would support the portion of the 1.5% salary pool not fully covered by state appropriations.
