KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — A fire Wednesday morning left Cheers at Choto a total loss, Rural Metro Fire said.
When crews arrived at the restaurant at 2600 Whitten Lane by Ft. Loudoun Lake, they found the two-story building nearly engulfed in fire. The building collapsed in on itself, which forced crews to work from the outside, but they were able to stop the flames from spreading to nearby boats and fuel pumps. Crews also extinguished several hidden spot fires in the rubble, Rural Metro said.

The building was unoccupied at the time, and no injuries were reported, Rural Metro Fire said.
Six engines and an ambulance responded. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and crews plan to remain on the scene to make sure all the hidden fires are extinguished, a spokesperson said at 10:30 a.m…
