TVA, Tennessee state parks cut the ribbon on Norris Lake kayak launch

ROCKY TOP, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Tennessee Valley Authority and Tennessee state parks officially cut the ribbon on Norris Lake improvements Monday morning. Among the improvements were a BoardSafe adaptive kayak launch and a courtesy pier off Oak Grave Road in Campbell County.

TVA’s Brian Ross spoke a bit about what the improvements mean for the area.

“A couple years ago, we had a meeting with state parks,” Ross said. “And we talked about Norris Dam State Park having a better water access. The icing on the cake today is we had the ribbon cutting for the board safe kayak launch and courtesy pier.”…
