Maryville City Schools will accept three fewer excused absences with notes from parents in the fall — a move that school administrators said brings the district in line with neighboring school districts. On Monday, the Maryville City School Board voted to reduce the number of accepted absences from 10 to seven.
Parental note absences above the limit of seven days will be considered unexcused.
