Tall Man Toys & Comics closing after 10 years, final fundraiser benefits hospital

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — After a decade of toys, comics, collectibles and community events, Tall Man Toys & Comics is preparing to close its doors at the end of August, but the Knoxville business is using its final weeks to give back.

The store is holding a 50% off liquidation sale while collecting child-friendly Funko Pops for Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital. For every $50 spent in the store, owner Mike Hermann said three Funko Pops are set aside for the hospital.

Customers are also bringing in their own child-friendly Funko Pops to add to the donation. Hermann said the collection is nearing 500 toys.

“We’ve been donating to Children’s Hospital for, you know, ten years,” Hermann said. “They do a great job there. They’re local.”…
