FIRST ALERT: Patchy fog Friday morning and another hot afternoon

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Clouds could linger in spots, but there will be some clear pockets for viewing of the near-total lunar eclipse, which peaks at 12:12 AM. Patchy fog will develop in spots by sunrise. Lows will be around 70.

FRIDAY: A mix of sun and clouds with highs in the upper 80s to near 90. A stray downpour is possible in the afternoon, especially toward the foothills and Smokies. Winds will be northeast at 5-10 mph.

HOT WEEKEND: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy both days. A stray shower or storm is possible, mainly in the foothills and Smoky mountains. Highs will be around 90 or so with lows in the upper 60s…
